A man was shot during a domestic dispute in Lebanon at about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Lafayette Avenue. Michael Ladd, 34, was shot twice and taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with life-threatening injuries. Lebanon police believe Ladd's live-in girlfriend, Danyale Short, 35, shot him. Short, who fled the scene, was tracked down and taken in for questioning, and later released pending further investigation.
Police have arrested an Indianapolis man for the murders of a Greenwood couple. Justin Carter, 28, was arrested Monday night on two charges of murder and one charge of robbery in the deaths of Steve Konchinsky, 57, and Julie Konchinsky, 54. The two were shot to death in their home Saturday. Police said they believe Carter also robbed a Center Grove Fifth Third Bank branch on Monday afternoon.

Two people were injured Sunday afternoon when a shootout erupted about 2 p.m. in the 3800 block of North Park Avenue, near College Avenue. According to police, Felicia Williams, 29, opened fire on a parked truck containing former boyfriend Derrick Walker, 32, a woman and four children. A man inside a nearby home came outside and shot Williams. The shootings left Williams critically wounded and Walker in serious condition.
