Man calls 911 after stabbing ‘friend’

Indianapolis police are investigating a homicide on the northeast side of Indianapolis. Police received
a 911 call Tuesday
morning from the suspect, who confessed to stabbing a “friend” several times, said investigators. The unnamed
suspect was cooperative at the scene near 82nd Street and Hague Road as he met officers covered in blood and handed over his
knife.

Police make arrest in jeweler’s death

Indianapolis police have arrested a man they say killed a Fountain Square jeweler. David Pedigo, 55, was shot to death last
Friday inside the safe area of his store. Michael Inman, 34, was taken into custody Saturday after police traced a fingerprint
left during a similar robbery earlier in the month at a Cirilla's store at 86th Street and Michigan Road. Police say when
they took Inman into custody, he had jewelry from Pedigo Jewelry in his pocket. A gun he tried to toss matched the one used
in Pedigo's murder. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the pace of mortgage loan activity decreased 11 percent for the week ended April 2, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. The rate for 30-year mortgages increased to 5.31 percent from 5.04 percent the previous week.  The rate for 15-year mortgages increased to 4.54 percent from 4.34 percent.
