Clarian Health has appointed Chris Van Pelt as chief information officer. Van Pelt, who has been part of
Clarian Information Services since October 2004, has held the position on an interim basis for nine months.

Community Home Health Services, a unit of Community Health Network, named Dr. Waqas Ghumman its associate
medical director for cardiovascular services, to help Community’s staff care for heart-failure patients in their homes.

 

-Jones Lang LaSalle has been named exclusive leasing and management agent for Meridian Corporate Plaza One and Two, at 301 and 401 Pennsylvania Parkway, by Inland American Real Estate Investment Trust. The 66,000-square-foot Meridian Corporate Plaza One is vacant. The other building, at 135,500 square feet, is 96-percent leased. John Robinson and Adam Broderick will oversee leasing and Jeff Reynolds will oversee management of the buildings.

-Earnest Machine leased 89,719 square feet at 5130 West 76th St. The tenant was represented by Dustin Looper of Colliers International. The landlord, Duke Realty, represented itself.

-Durham School Services leased 24,000 square feet and eight acres at 1777 S. Belmont Ave. The tenant was represented by Mark Stephenson of Sigma Group.  The landlord, Belmont Terminal Inc., represented itself.

A former schoolyard turned into a crime scene after the body of Anthony Fred Daly, 50, was found with multiple stab wounds
just before 7 a.m. Sunday. Indianapolis Metro Police said Daly was found by a man who was walking his dog behind former IPS
School 21 in the 2800 block of English Avenue. Investigators identified the victim through his fingerprints. Now officers
hope clues left at the scene will help lead them to the killer. Anyone with information about Daly’s murder is asked
to call Crimestoppers at 262-TIPS.

The 17-year-old suspected of shooting nine people in downtown Indianapolis during Indiana Black Expo’s Summer Celebration
July 17 will face charges in adult court. The suspect, Shamus Patton, appeared in court Monday morning. He has been charged
with 12 felonies and two misdemeanors. None of the victims had life-threatening injuries, but city leaders say the shooting
damaged Indianapolis’ reputation.

Two people died following an early-morning fire in Brownsburg. Neighbors said the victims were brother and sister, both in
their 60s, who had lived together in the house for 15 years. The fire broke out about 5:20 a.m. at a home in the 7500 block
of East County Road 300 North, just east of State Road 267. Officials said at least three animals were rescued from inside
the home. A horse and 30 cats were found in a barn behind the house. Although the fire was concentrated on the first floor,
the victims were discovered on the second floor. Investigators are still searching for the cause of the fire. Fox 59 will
have more at 4 p.m.
