Indianapolis police said Thursday that they found a missing Indianapolis man safe near Peoria, Ill. Police said William “Bill” Kolb, 76, was following a relative from Community Hospital North to his home in the 2000 block of North Kitley Avenue on Wednesday when he took a wrong turn and disappeared. A witness who saw him later in the day said he appeared lost and confused. He was eventually found near Peoria and taken to a hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Authorities are searching for a 76-year-old man who they said may need medical attention. William “Bill” Kolb was following family members home from Community Hospital North on Wednesday, heading toward 2200 N. Kitley Ave., when he took a wrong turn. Kolb was driving a maroon 2009 Hyundai Accent with Indiana license plate DY5227. Police said Kolb may be lost and confused. His phone was located northwest of East 16th Street and North Franklin Road about 7:45 p.m.
