  1. More of a question than a comment. Will it be best if going to Bloomington from north Indy to go 69S and cut over at Columbus or to take the Mooresville detour? A four year closure is a long time. Hope it will be worth all the time and money when completed. I have driven the new road to Evansville and it was much nicer than the old routes so I’ll be glad when it’s finished.

    1. Agree. They don’t have a choice, so might as well be positive, but I don’t anticipate many cars saying “ this hour drive is taking 90 minutes, let’s make it even longer by stopping at the local diner”. On the flip side, I CAN see many locals deciding to stay away until the traffic clears up.

  2. Since when is it a good idea to completely close routes? We did this in Indy and it was a DISASTER!!!! Now, a repeat performance in martinsville. Why not close one side at a time and at least allow some traffic through which would lessen the burden on the detours as well?
