Indianapolis retailers plan new stores, relocations

Several restaurants and retail stores have opened or are planning to open in the Indianapolis area:

Tavern on South, a bar and restaurant, is taking 8,000 square feet at 423 W. South St., near Lucas Oil Stadium.
The owner is Steve Geisler, a former executive at The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club in Fishers.

Pampolina, a children’s clothing store with German roots, is opening its first U.S. location at The
Fashion Mall at Keystone. The franchise store, owned by Roshelle Polo, is taking 1,700 square feet and is slated to open in

The MacExperience, a licensed Apple computer retailer, has moved its store at 45 S. Franklin Road to join
with home-entertainment specialist Ovation inside its location at 6609 E. 82nd St. in Castleton. The combined store hopes
to challenge big-box competitors including Best Buy and HHGregg. MacExperience also has stores in downtown Indianapolis, Greenwood
and Bloomington.

Pure Eatery, serving a basic menu of soups, salads and sandwiches, has opened in Fountain Square’s
Murphy Arts Center. Owner Amy Andrus is a South Carolina native and restaurant industry veteran who moved here in 1999.

Square Rootz Deli has opened on Prospect Street across from Fountain Square Theater. Owner Jeff Reuter’s
menu includes gourmet sandwiches, old-school sodas and homemade desserts.

Double Apple Lounge is planning to open at the corner of West 96th Street and Michigan Road. A state filing
lists the owner as Gladys Botina.

Vanilla Bean Bakery plans to take 1,150 square feet at the northeast corner of West 86th Street and Township
Line Road, across the street from a Kroger store.

Vineyard Liquors is opening a shop at 7750 S. Meridian St., near Stop 11 Road, in a retail center with a
Family Video. The shop is taking 4,200 square feet in the building, which is owned by the video-rental chain.
