An attorney for some Indiana State Fair stage-collapse victims says Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush of country duo Sugarland maintain they left decisions about whether concerts would proceed up to their tour manager.
Attorney Mario Massillamany said Nettles answered questions for more than four hours Thursday in West Virginia in a deposition over the deadly Aug. 13 stage collapse caused by high winds. He said Bush's deposition began Friday morning.
Massillamany said both performers say they relied on their tour manager to decide whether a concert would proceed.
Sugarland spokesman Allan Mayer said Nettles and Bush "never told anyone not to delay the concert because of the weather." And he says they're eager to "get to the bottom" of the tragedy.
