Huang Ping, consul general for the People’s Republic of China in Chicago, Indiana University President Michael McRobbie and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard are among those scheduled to appear in the IU-sponsored event.
“U.S.-China Business Cooperation in the 21st Century: Opportunities and Challenges for Entrepreneurs” is taking place today at the University Place Conference Center, 850 W. Michigan St., on the IUPUI campus. The conference will move to the IU Bloomington campus Thursday and Friday.
The first day of the conference will be available for live viewing on the Internet at www.broadcast.iu.edu.
Other guests include Yang Wei, president of Zhejiang University; Mat Orrego, CEO of Cornerstone Information Systems; Barbara Flynn, director of IU’s Center for International Business Education and Research; and Scott Kennedy, director of the Research Center for Chinese Politics and Business.
Organizers say attendees will be able to meet and network with leading American and Chinese entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, investors, officials, and scholars.
Programs will highlight business opportunities across a wide range of industries and offer advice on managing the challenges of doing business with China.
