Tech company Levementum plans local expansion, new jobs

February 21, 2017

Arizona-based Levementum LLC, a Salesforce.com Inc. partner that launched a local office about nine months ago, is set Wednesday to announce an expansion that will result in new tech jobs in downtown Indianapolis.

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. said Gov. Eric Holcomb and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett are expected to join Levementum executives Wednesday afternoon for an economic development announcement.

The IEDC did not say how many jobs are expected to be created in the expansion, but Levementum Senior Vice President Michael Burton said two weeks ago that the firm was planning to hire as many as 25 workers in Indianapolis in 2017.

IEDC job-creation agreements typically involve tax breaks and job-training grants for companies that meet their commitments.

Levementum, which has been housed in co-working spaces in Fountain Square and Fletcher Place, is making plans to move to The Union 525 building at 525 S. Meridian St. in downtown Indianapolis. The building opened in 1895 as the Industrial Training School and today is home to several tech companies.

The company had about 15 local employees as of December, with several working remotely.

Several new customers, including Bankrate, Beachbody LLC, Politico and Massage Envy Franchising LLC, are “driving the rapid expansion of the Indianapolis-based office,” company officials said.

“Focusing our growth in Indianapolis is vital for our practice,” said Michael Burton, senior vice president of Levementum. “Our Indianapolis location provides the ability to connect directly with partner contacts and account executives. Additionally, Indianapolis has a strong marketing technology talent pool and is a relatively low-cost city to grow a business.”

The customer relationship management consultancy said the expansion would include the hiring of senior-level technical architects, engagement managers and solution architects.
