  1. so by this math Indiana would normally take in $2,132,000,000 (that is 2 billion dollars) per year for road work just from gas taxes. I assume this is half of the total. WHERE is the money going??

  2. Can’t you just imagine all the future comments from the Statehouse saying that “we don’t have the revenue needed” to fix the roads and bridges?

  3. Don’t worry, my $20 per cigarette carton tax will cover any shortcomings of the gas taxes, on top of the already $5Billion surplus in the state coffers.
