  1. So the woke left changed the historical markers and Trump wants it back to the truth.

Please give us some specific examples of Bad Man changing history or don’t write such an article

    1. Denying slavery is bigotry, plain and simple, no matter the dog whistle term “woke” that bigots throw around to justify their bigotry.

    2. –Removal of educational materials related to slavery at George Washington’s home in Philadelphia.
–Federal removal from national park display of an 1860s photo of the scars on the back of a formerly enslaved man.
–Removal of info about a famed abolitionist from a national historical park.
–Targeting of exhibits on the history of slavery at a national historical park.
–Removal of artifacts from the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
–“Softening” of descriptions on national park service webpages related to the Underground Railroad.
And that’s just a short list of examples… there’s more where that came from. When you remove educational materials related to actual history, it sure sounds like you’re trying to erase uncomfortable history.

    3. Why are Republicans so afraid to confront this nation’s dark history? I thought they are the “facts don’t care about feelings” crowd? The anti-virtue signaling crowd? Turns out, any time they accuse the other side of a character fault, they’ve probably already internalized that same fault. Fox News has turned half the country into coddled, whiny babies.

    4. Facts have a well-known liberal bias and it’s easier for folks to repeat history if they never learn it.

    5. We need to teach history accurately.
Unfortunately the pendulum swings to far to the right or the left depending
on which political party is in charge.

Some want to only dwell on the negative dark history while others want to minimize it,

Most people on both ends of the political extreme have little knowledge of our history. it does not fit the narrative that they want to promote.
