    1. +1

Conservatives lawmakers apparently believe every female in a happy marriage with 2.5 children. So I’m not so sure any conservative law makers believe this is a loss.

  1. Reassessment more than wiped out the $300.00 tax credit on my property tax bill . So the loss was less of an increase . How does that become less revenue than last year .

    1. I’m paying more too should the tax rate be flat. My assessment is up 10% for 2026. But for those with small increases, they should pay less.

  2. I am sure they can find other things to cut. our politicians are scum.
meanwhile they will build a couple more multi-million dollar stadiums and pools and dozens of round-a-bouts…

    1. All those amenities are why the population is booming. If you’re in the group that doesn’t like change, like most of our state legislators, you can move to one of the many dying places in Indiana that haven’t changed or had any investment but state welfare in terms of highway spending. They have plenty of cheap housing because all the folks with employable skills or who want their kids to have a future are moving to places like Hamilton County.
