  1. Repairing and replacing all the leaks and building damage is fine, but cleaning the copper is fruitless and unnecessary. It will immediately begin developing a new patina of oxidized green all over again. In many cases folks pay extra just for the aged and oxidized green patina look.

  2. Paint it gold with a Rhino shield permanent type protective coating. Looks and protection to avoid massive projects like this in the future.

  3. How many time is the state going to keep rearing this dome? It seems like they work on it about every 10 years or so. You’d think they’d get it right one of these times.

    1. Thank you, State of Indiana, for investing the money to maintain the dome. It’s Indiana: it gets really cold in the winter, really hot in the summer. Snow, sleet, hail, lots of rain. Of course it needs maintenance. This is supposed to be what is done for old buildings. Otherwise, the buildings will look like the roads…
