Why should the state invest our money to make itself richer at the same time it is cutting services? Use the money on the services that have been cut. Get our state out of the perennial worst places to live lists.
So all those program cuts, like special ED, weren’t really necessary and we could afford them all along?

Those always piss me off. Take my money and hold it for a year, then send me a bribe just before the election, telling me I’m better off then I was last year. I guess the majority of the voters will near hear about the programs, so I guess it won’t make a difference at election time.

We already pay ridiculously little in taxes at the State level. It has reached a point of diminishing returns. I would rather have semi-decent public services. Things that actually draw people to places.
State income tax has been steadily decreasing for years. You haven’t noticed? What does that tell us?
And here we are with so many communities facing referendums to keep schools funded, due to Brauns idiotic property tax bill that does nothing but shift the financial burden to communities while the state reaps surpluses.
