The challenge isn’t a lack of ideas—it’s a shortage of follow-on capital. Of course there’s risk, and not every company will succeed. But if we truly want to drive meaningful impact, we need to focus on strengthening access to follow-on funding for life science companies. When that financial support is paired with our strong innovation pipeline and Midwest values, it can lead to substantial growth and long-term success.
