I am a young entrepreneur from Fishers, and I know firsthand the challenges that come with starting and running a business at such a young age. The journey is filled with obstacles that can be daunting without proper guidance and support.

This is why we need to establish a Small Business Administration for teens in our city. The benefits of promoting entrepreneurship among teenagers are numerous.

According to the Harvard Business Review, teaching entrepreneurship early helps develop critical thinking skills and fosters innovation. Moreover, fostering entrepreneurial spirit early on can lead to job creation in the future. However, without proper support structures like an administration dedicated to helping them navigate through their entrepreneurial journey, many teen entrepreneurs may struggle.

A Small Business Administration for teens would provide resources such as mentorship programs, workshops on business planning and management skills, and financial literacy training, among others.

Fishers has always been known as a city that supports innovation and growth. Let’s extend this support to our youngest innovators by establishing an administration dedicated solely to them. This will not only help these young entrepreneurs succeed but also contribute significantly towards building an innovative culture within our city.
