  1. The Ford Maverick is basically the most reasonable thing you get now-a-days, but only if you can get a base model. Otherwise, it’s just another $30k vehicle.

A Maverick is a reasonable size and more capable than any similarly priced vehicle of the past. It’s like having a small sedan and a small truck in the same vehicle. So much utility in a relatively small package. But it’s crazy that a vehicle that has similar dimensions to a Ford Taurus – a full sized car of the past – is essentially the smallest thing worth getting in 2023 America.

    1. I have one.

Paid 33k fully loaded out the door.

      You can’t beat a $500 car payment for 4 years @ 0.0%

Now if only they could make them fast enough to meet demand

  2. The auto makers made billions in profit by ONLY building expensive, high ROI, cars and trucks. The higher car prices and dealer mark ups are over. The damage was done and now the vehicles are piling up on lots. Anyone priced out for a vehicle purchase should stay course and wait for the price drops (it’s coming). People cannot afford these vehicles in a 7%+ interest rate climate. Having a $725 per month payment (national average) is not cool, it’s financial stupidity.

    1. Yeah, car payments in general are pretty terrible. Especially for new cars, and doubly so when interest rates are so high and the average payment is enough for a low-end studio apartmen

  3. Wait for that influx of Chinese EV cars that are about to flood the market – cardboard boxes with robotic squirrels running on spinning wheels generating electricity. Dozens of new models will be available for less than $20K. Thank Joe and the UAW for supporting his brainlessness.

    1. Wait, which is it? Are the American Union cars well-built and fairly priced, or is it good that the Chinese are going to finally undercut their obscene prices?

You can’t be a Sinophobe and Anti-Union in the same breath, bud. That’s brainlessness.

    2. Sinophobe? Anti-union? Not in my work record. Just getting ready for the already-anticipated influx of cheap, tariff-avoiding, Chinese vehicles that are a result of the UAW brainless support of Joe and his brainlessness. Why does the UAW shoot itself in the foot all of the time with its plantation vote?
