University of Notre Dame football coach Marcus Freeman is trying to become the first Black coach to capture a college title at the highest level in America’s favorite sport.
There’s been little public movement on the pursuit of a Major League Soccer club since the city last August asked the state to create a new taxing district to pay for a soccer-specific stadium.
The Transportation Department said the lawsuit alleges that Southwest illegally operated chronically delayed flights and disrupted passengers’ travel plans. It says it is seeking “maximum civil penalties.”

In social media replies to frustrated travelers, the airline said: “Our team is currently working to rectify this. Your continued patience is appreciated.”
The Indianapolis Airport Authority is expected to consider the deal Friday during its monthly board meeting, although no sale would be finalized until the heliport is fully decommissioned.

The east-side company is about to finish 2024 with more than $2.7 million in sales—up from $1.35 million four years ago. By 2026, the business expects sales to reach $3 million.
Such a rule would go far beyond the current requirement for airlines to pay ticket refunds. It would make U.S. policy more closely resemble airline consumer protections in Europe.
