An 11-month-old Indianapolis boy was unharmed Wednesday when the car he was riding in was stolen at gunpoint. The child’s mother, who was not identified, told police that her boyfriend jumped out of the car at about 10:30 p.m. to break up a fight near Pleasant Run Parkway and Sherman Drive. That's when one of the men in the altercation ran to their car and took it, she said. Police found the car with the baby inside about 10 minutes later.
An unidentified woman was in critical condition after being struck by a car at 10th Street and Tibbs Avenue at about 5 a.m. Thursday. Police said the woman may have been walking to catch a bus to work. Witnesses said she was struck by a small silver or gray car, which should have heavy front-end damage. The vehicle fled the scene.
