Police shot and killed an armed burglary suspect Tuesday night in Plainfield. The shooting took place about 9:30 in the Courtyards at White Lick neighborhood after a person hiding in the home reported a burglary in progress. When police arrived, the suspect raised a gun toward an officer, who shot the man. Another suspected burglar was taken into custody. Three residents in the home were unharmed.
An employee at the Ricker’s BP gas station at West 38th Street and High School Road was fatally shot during a robbery about 3 a.m. Wednesday. Clerk Elvalide Ndiaye, 39, of Indianapolis died at Wishard Memorial Hospital shortly after the incident.
