Shelbyville mother still missing

A search continues for a missing Shelbyville mother who hasn't been heard from in more than two weeks. Rebecca Cassidy
was last seen April 10 outside her home. On April 15, her family reported her missing after realizing she also hadn't
been reporting to work. Police say there are no obvious theories to explain her disappearance. Cassidy's two young children
live with her parents.

Muncie to rehire laid-off firefighters

Several laid-off firefighters will soon be back on the job in Muncie. The city plans to rehire at least some of the 32 firefighters
it laid off in May 2009. At the time, the mayor cited budget cuts for the decision to reduce the force. The number of firefighters
called back to work will depend on the size of federal grant.

Policeman resigns amid fraud probe

April 29, 2010

Sgt. Jeff McKay of the Kokomo Police Department has resigned amid a welfare-fraud investigation. The resignation, effective
Friday, comes one week after state officials said they intended to pursue the felony fraud case against McKay and his wife.
He and his wife, Kasey McKay, are accused of failing to report they were married so that she could continue to receive food
stamps and housing assistance. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.
