A trio of world premieres by choreographers David Hochoy and Nick Owens make up "Super Soul: Motown and More." The "and more" not only applies to the show, but also to the schedule. DK, which usually stages its work for only one weekend, has added a second, giving time for word of mouth to reach potential ticket buyers—at least those who aren't afraid to venture downtown as Super Bowl mania begins. The Tony-winning actress (for 2001’s “42nd Street” revival and 2006’s “Gray Gardens”), movie actress (from “Amadeus” to “Richie Rich”), former “Saturday Night Live” cast member (briefly, in the 1981/1982 season), and now cabaret star performs at the intimate Studio Theatre. Also at the Center for the Performing Arts this weekend: The Royal Philharmonic Jan. 19, Spyro Gyra Jan. 20, and Complexions dance company Jan. 22. Details here.

Police evacuated Lafayette Square Mall on Monday night following a shooting involving three people. Shots were fired shortly after 8:30 p.m. outside of the Shoppers World store. Police took three people into custody. Police said two women were having an argument inside of the mall. A man accompanying one of the women fired a handgun into the air after the three exited the building. No one was injured during the incident but an ambulance was called to check on a woman with a breathing complaint.

Indianapolis police are investigating a shooting that took place just after 5 a.m. Tuesday near 29th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Street. A man was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition after being shot twice in the leg. The shooting occurred in an alley behind 29th Street.

The average rate for 30-year mortgages was unchanged at 4.18 percent for the week ended Jan. 11, according to Bankrate.com. The rate for 15-year mortgages fell from 3.40 percent to 3.38 percent.

-Dollar Tree renewed its lease for 7,295 square feet of retail space in Norgate Plaza, 7225 N. Keystone Ave., Suite D. The tenant and landlord, Sandor Development, represented themselves.

-Ay Caramba leased 3,280 square feet of retail space in Indy Pavilions, 7035 E. 96th St., Suite P. The landlord was represented by Drew Kelly of Sandor Development. The tenant represented itself.
