An unidentified woman died Wednesday night after being shot in the head in the parking lot of a muffler shop on Indianapolis' northwest side, police said. At least 100 Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers escorted the body of fallen Patrolman David Moore from Wishard Hospital to the Marion County Coroner's Office early Thursday. The procession left Wishard at about 3:45 a.m. and traveled through downtown, passing police headquarters on the way. Moore, 29, was shot twice in the head Sunday during a traffic stop on the near-northeast side. He died Wednesday morning. Funeral arrangements are pending.
