The thousands of people flocking to Bloomington for the Dalai Lama's latest Indiana visit are bringing an infusion of
cash to the city.

The local visitors bureau says nearly all local hotel rooms are booked this week.

Visitors bureau director Mike McAfee says each visitor will spend an estimated $175 a day during the Buddhist leader's
sixth visit to Indiana.

The Dalai Lama is the head of the Tibetan government in exile. He delivered religious teachings Wednesday to thousands of
people at the Indiana University Auditorium. His late older brother was an IU professor and founded a Buddhist center in Bloomington.

Vendors and small businesses from across the country have swept into Bloomington this week to sell books, textiles and other
Tibetan and Buddhist artifacts.
