It is a sure thing Churchill knew what he was talking about [Maurer column, Nov. 24]. Today, however, it will be business as usual thanks to polarization, apathy, selective deaf ears and blind eyes.
Sadly, I doubt things will turn around any more than banks can eliminate bad loans, politicians will tell the truth or another 100 years will make a difference.
On a brighter note, it is great to know that individuals such as Maurer turn the light on bright enough for us to see forward. Thanks for trying!
