The latest poll in Indiana’s U.S. Senate race shows the candidates are nearly tied.

The Ipsos Public Affairs poll conducted for Reuters and the University of Virginia Center for Politics shows 46 percent of likely voters choosing Democratic incumbent Joe Donnelly and 43 percent picking Republican candidate Mike Braun. Joe Donnelly and Mike Braun - with names

The margin of error is 2.5 percentage points, which is why Ipsos has described the race as a toss-up.

The poll surveyed 2,000 adults from Sept. 12-19. Of the 2,000 individuals questioned, 1,181 were likely voters. Out of all adults surveyed, Donnelly and Braun both received 34 percent.

The poll also found that 48 percent of likely voters at least lean toward approval of Republican President Donald Trump.

But likely voters are split on whether they would vote for someone who will support Trump—48 percent of likely voters said they are somewhat or very motivated to vote for the candidate who will support him, while 51 percent said they are not very or not at all motivated to do so.

The top three issues that likely voters said would determine their votes in November included health care (15 percent), the economy (14 percent) and immigration (12 percent). The biggest issue for Democrats is health care, while the biggest issue for Republicans is immigration, according to the poll.

Donnelly has been heavily campaigning on health care and reminding voters that he voted to keep the coverage for preexisting conditions in place, while Braun has been talking about how he established affordable health care benefits at his company in Jasper.

Both candidates have also addressed border security in their advertisements, with both saying they support Trump’s plan to build a wall.

Previous polls in the race have provided mixed results, with a NBC News/Marist poll showing Donnelly ahead by six points and a Fox News poll putting Braun ahead by two points.
