  1. Sounds like the state needed to use part of the surplus to update software systems. The Internal Revenue Service (U.S. Department of the Treasury) frequently cashes checks faster than the state of Indiana.

  2. I have recently travelled through 5 states. Gas is close or a little less than $ 4 per gallon in all BUT Indiana. What is it the our legislature cannot see?? We just raised taxes, wow what a way to help the citizens. If we have such a surplus, pass along in tax savings for a few months. Families are travelling, trucks are trying to catch up the supply chain. Lets help all and stop the continual concern of how to avoid social issues. Start thinking rather than just talking.
