It would be great to have a dem Secretary of State to weed out all of the waste, fraud, and abuse the Republican supermajority has been inflicting on us. It’s no wonder y’all feel so threatened by a Bayh
Bayh is not for the Dems because they have offered (and voted for) other more-qualified, candidates for state-wide office for decades. But the name may attract independents and swing voters. He’s a Harvard grad, former Marine, which is more than sufficient resume to be the Indiana SOS. However, without the name he probably wouldn’t move the needle. Look at Mayor Pete – similar school and military credentials and probably a better candidate – more experienced and eloquent and time as mayor and combat service. But that didn’t work.
