  1. So, sounds like the 3 supporters above are part of the campaign team. Ha!
VOP is certainly beginning his separation from the Hogsett administration, a first for him.
If only he had real policy proposals, and maybe some personality and charisma, he might have a chance beyond being the first black mayor of Indy. As a majority democrat city, his chances remain strong for mayor. I hope he makes the effort to represent all of Marion County and not just dems and the black community. A challenge he’ll have to face. I’m still surprised he never publicly spoke up during the Indiana Ave $450,000 master planning (lack of) effort.

    1. So just because he is black you think he has to make an extra effort to mayor for all? If that’s your measuring stick then for the last 200+ years all of the white male mayors of this city have failed miserably.

  2. The only people who vote in Indianapolis anymore are Democrats. Pick a homeless guy to run for Mayor of this stupid city. A city that can’t take care of streets and roads, can’t do simple things like cut back overgrowth along streets. Many more!!!!

    1. We don’t have money for our roads because the Republicans who claim to represent Indianapolis refuse to fix the road funding formula and instead spend their time … increasing downtown crime (casinos) and micromanaging prosecutors.

Even the Republican mayors in donut counties agree with me it’s a state issue.
