The Colts are now the only NFL team out of 32 not to have a schedule-release video officially available to the public, although it is still fairly easy to find an unofficial copy online.
The Colts used a Minecraft theme in their video that duplicated the look of the popular video game, but apparently the team did not have the necessary permissions from Minecraft publisher Microsoft.
The schedule-release video took digs at teams on the video, including first-week opponent the Miami Dolphins and receiver Hill. Hill is depicted as an actual dolphin that encounters a Coast Guard ship, a not-so-subtle reference to his run-ins with the law. Hill has been convicted of domestic assault and was involved in a high-profile traffic incident in September as he was arriving at a home game. He was cleared of the charge.
“We removed our schedule release video because it exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip involving Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill,” the Colts said in a written statement. “We sincerely apologize to Microsoft and Tyreek.”
