  1. I seriously wonder how effective all of these trips are. From what I have read from Micheal Hicks, I think he would alter the way we provide economic development and recruit companies. It must be hard to assess as we continue with the status quo but seem to linger in neutral more than driving forward.

  2. It look like the Governor will be able to enjoy a couple of additional expensive vacations – at taxpayer expense – before he leaves office.

    1. The cost of the governor’s travel is being paid through private donations to the Indiana Economic Development Foundation. That is generally the case with trade trips.

  3. Maintaining current trade and economic relationships overseas is important, yes, but new relationships should be forged by new governor and new team and not by the lame duck.
