Huston, get a clue already. SMH.
Huston is exactly what the Bears need right now, someone in a hurry to negotiate. I bet he overpays for every car he’s ever bought.
“a great opportunity for our state”.
Same way that data centers are leading to lots of jobs for Hoosiers, Todd? Maybe care to show your work?
He sure seems to distance himself from many things related to Indianapolis. You know, the largest area and contributor of tax money to the state.
Take the bait Indiana. Let Bears use you – no one seriously thinks they will leave Chicago area.
What a foolish waste of time snd money. Spend your time on something constructive like education assistance.
Last I checked, Hammond is in the Chicago area. I fully expect the legislature to do a super duper sweetheart deal and offer about 3 billion dollars to the Bears. Do I think it’s a good idea? Not at all. Is it going to happen? You bet it is. This legislature would probably spend the whole surplus just to give Chicago and Illinois a loss.
That’s what Missouri officials thought as well. You miss 100% of the chances you don’t take.
Not a good idea. For any reason..
Unfortunately, the legislature is filled with a great number of simple-minded people who demonstrate their ineptitude on issue after issue. I love Indiana but am totally embarrassed by the leadership in our state government.
Spot-on accurate.
As usual, the same group of negative responses.
As usual, those who don’t have anything to contribute and can’t even engage in a discussion on the merits just take lazy attempts at potshots.
Go on and tell us how giving billions of dollars to relocate a football team is going to lead to real economic development for NW Indiana.
You’re right in there, too, Rea. You should run for the legislature. You’d be a shoe-in.
So we can afford another football team, but cannot afford to fix our roads? What kind of BS is that?
And don’t tell me apples to oranges.
I don’t recall being asked if I would prefer another football team/stadium (and I love the Bears, don’t get me wrong). But my tax dollars don’t need to support more billionaire sports team owners. One is enough.
