  1. The facts are facts. Producing EV’s requires less people and less parts. The big three already know and I won’t be surprised when we see “shifts” or “restructuring” in manufacturing man power.

    1. “assurances that good-paying union jobs will be preserved as the companies transition from gasoline-powered vehicles to those that run on electricity.” – I’m all for good paying jobs but that’s a long uphill battle.

  2. Placing heavy burdens on Detroit automakers when Ford, GM, and Chrysler enjoyed an oligopoly in the North American market was a successful, if shortsighted, tactic of the UAW. Unfortunately, the automobile market has evolved with many non-UAW represented companies participating, so tactics that result in less competitive UAW represented automakers is self defeating, as evidenced by Union membership decline over the past few decades.
