A 30-year-old software consulting firm said Thursday it will invest $2.7 million to upgrade its Carmel office and add 60 new jobs by the end of 2024.

Leaf Software Solutions Inc. said the revamp of the 18,000-square-foot space at 14300 Clay Terrace Blvd. will help it meet an increased demand for its custom software products and financial software services.

“Carmel and central Indiana has been our home for over 30 years,” said Leaf President Chad Hankinson in a statement. “The pool of talent is excellent, and the technology ecosystem is sound. We’re committed and happy to continue to grow right here at home.”

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. offered Leaf Software Solutions up to $1.5 million in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. The company can only claim the tax credits once Hoosier are hired.

The announcement did not say how many employees work at Leaf now and a spokesman for the company was not immediately available to comment. Leaf said in the announcement it is hiring software developers and technology professionals.

Leaf Software was founded in 1987. It recently was one of five Indiana-based companies selecdted to provide services through a 10-year, $12.6 billion Department of Defense contract.

“We are thrilled to celebrate another expansion of one of our high-tech software firms, which continues to grow in Carmel,” Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard said in a prepared statement. “We have worked hard to build a high-quality community designed to attract corporate headquarters and software firms like Leaf Software Solutions.”
