If the state that ranks 43rd in education in American is doing something first…. maybe others should not follow suit
It’s the old axiom that “those who know the least about a topic or practice shouldn’t be the ones to determine how it is taujght.” We currently spend more in Indiana on corporate welfare than we do on public education. Hmmn? And dollars flow to detention and data centers and new jails — will this be taught in our “special waver” schools? How about a respect for persons of other faiths?. Folks who have no shelter, struggle with addictions, no job prospects and face mental illness are told they will be arrested if they sleep in the same outdoor location for more than two nights — need to move 301 feet to a new “residence.” I. doubt this will be covered in the curriculum. Then there are cage fights televised and designed to encourage gambling that are staged on the White House lawn by a “first family” who need semi-trucks to move their money to the banks (mostly off shore) even as the erasing of our nations history unpleasing to the “misleaders.” Perhaps in these interim years our nation should be renamed Vulgaria. We don’t need anyone outside Indiana confusing us with other approaches to “education.” So sad.
