The 36-story Regions Tower is selling in a negotiated transaction, and the 30-story Market Tower is getting a new owner via a loan default. They are among downtown’s largest office complexes.
Office brokers say the 662,000-square-foot-building, downtown’s third largest, could fetch more than $60 million, or about $100 a square foot.
Most buyers are bottom-fishers, investors looking for better returns or companies wanting their own building.
