I won’t bother telling you again that the 1812 Overture historically has nothing to do with Independence Day. Instead, I’ll just warn you again to plan for construction issues along Allisonville Road and to get to Conner Prairie in plenty of time to select a spot, set up your picnic, and enjoy the annual holiday concert by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, led by Alfred Savia. Baritone (and IU grad) Daniel Narducci, who recently sang the Captain Hook role for a new recording of Leonard Bernstein’s “Peter Pan,” is guest vocalist.

Not feeling patriotic this week? Then cross the musical pond (while still at Conner Prairie) June 29-30 for The Music of Queen. Details on both concerts here.

-Liberty Mutual leased 23,507 square feet at Meridian Mark I, 11611 N. Meridian St., Carmel. The tenant was represented by Mark Stables of Grubb and Ellis. The landlord, Zeller Realty Group, was represented by Zeller’s Mark Vollbrecht and Tristan Glover.

-Flowers Baking Co. of Morristown LLC leased 11,218 square feet of industrial space at 3131 N. Franklin Road. The tenant was represented by Todd Vannatta and Bart Book of Cassidy Turley. The landlord, International Metals Processing LLC, represented itself.

-Security Equipment Supply leased 8,144 square feet of industrial space at 7998 Centerpoint Drive. The tenant was represented by Todd Vannatta of Cassidy Turley. The landlord, Clarion Partners, was represented by Fritz Kauffman and Bryan Poynter of Cassidy Turley.

-Mr. Dan’s restaurant leased 1,500 square feet of retail space in Washington @ Post Shoppes, 8975 E Washington St., Suite 102. The landlord, LOR Corp., was represented by Brett Burch of Valenti Real Estate Services. The tenant represented itself.

-Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed exclusive leasing agent for Lake Pointe II, at 8440 Allison Pointe Blvd., and Woodland Center I and II, 8275 and 8335 Allison Pointe Trail. The office properties total 215,961 square feet. John Robinson and Jimmy Clark are in charge of leasing the properties for Jones Lang LaSalle.

-Lovett Pallet LLC leased 72,490 square feet of industrial space at 217 S. Belmont Ave. The tenant was represented by Kelly Williams of Cassidy Turley. The landlord, Material Handling Exchange, represented itself.

-Aircom Manufacturing leased 35,000 square feet of industrial space at 2402 N. Shadeland Ave. The tenant was represented by Bart Book, Todd Vannatta and George Charbonneau of Cassidy Turley. The landlord, Shadeland South Business Park, represented itself.

Busy bridge set for closure

Construction crews will shut down all traffic to the heavily traveled Allisonville Road bridge over Interstate 465 on Wednesday just after midnight. The bridge will be closed for 110 days while it is replaced with a wider, taller bridge. About 47,000 vehicles cross the span every day.
