An Avon homeowner fired two shots at a pair of suspected burglars early Friday morning after he saw them breaking into his barn on County Road 500 East. An 8-year-old girl pulled from a community pool in Brownsburg died Thursday night. The girl, Aalayah Willis, was pronounced dead at the hospital about an hour after she was discovered at the bottom of the busy pool by another child. No life guard was on duty at the Silverleaf Community Pool on County Road East 600 North in Hendricks County when the incident occurred at about 5 p.m.
