A student at Noblesville Intermediate School is believed to have contracted the measles, Hamilton County’s Noblesville Schools system announced Monday. Indianapolis’ City-County Council failed Monday to override Mayor Greg Ballard’s veto of a proposal to strengthen the city’s smoking ban. Members voted 16-12 to reverse his decision, falling short of the 20 votes needed.
