-Cloudblue Technologies Inc. renewed its lease for 32,000 square feet at 8219 Zionsville Road. The tenant was represented by John Hanley of CB Richard Ellis. The landlord, ProLogis, represented itself.

-First Internet Bank of Indiana leased 14,766 square feet at 9200 Keystone Crossing. The tenant was represented by Tasia Cowan of OMIF LLC. The landlord, Philadelphia-based BPG Properties Ltd., was represented by John R. Robinson and Abby L. Cooper of Jones Lang LaSalle.

-Prudential Insurance leased 10,768 square feet at 8888 Keystone Crossing. The tenant was represented by Andrew Follman of Meridian Real Estate LLC. The landlord, Philadelphia-based BPG Properties Ltd., was represented by John R. Robinson and Abby L. Cooper of Jones Lang LaSalle.

-Emswiler Williams Noland & Clark leased 5,553 square feet at 8500 Keystone Crossing. The tenant was represented by Mike Napriu of REI Investments. The landlord, Philadelphia-based BPG Properties Ltd., was represented by John R. Robinson and Abby L. Cooper of Jones Lang LaSalle.

-George Thomas Florist leased 3,700 square feet at 5609 E. Washington St. The landlord, 5535 E. Washington Associates, was represented by Keith Kleinmaier of Retail Realty. The tenant represented itself.

-The Mattress Firm leased 3,676 square feet at Clearwater Shoppes, 3853-3857 E. 82nd St.  The tenant was represented by Scott Gray of Sitehawk Retail Real Estate. The landlord, Broadbent Co. Inc., was represented by Broadbent's John Beuoy.

-D & M Continuous Solutions LLC renewed its lease for 1,800 square feet of office space in the Greenwood Oaks Business Center, 500 S. Polk St., Greenwood. The tenant and landlord, Greenwood Oaks Investments LLC, were represented by Cathy Richards of Grubb & Ellis Harding Dahm & Co.

-O’Fit leased 1,510 square feet at Cricket Tree Shopping Center, 1138 W. 86th St. The tenant was represented by Andrew Follman of Meridian Real Estate. The landlord, James Family Partnership LP, was represented by Keith Fried of Sitehawk Retail Real Estate.

-L. Eckert Co. leased 1,500 square feet of office space in the Greenwood Oaks Business Center, 500 S. Polk St., Greenwood. The tenant and landlord, Greenwood Oaks Investments LLC, were represented by Cathy Richards of Grubb & Ellis Harding Dahm & Co.

-Dr. Shelley Couglin leased 1,113 square feet at Northeast Office Center, 5640 Caito Drive. The tenant was represented by Matthew Tobe of Halakar Real Estate. The landlord, Sycamore Property Investments, was represented by Jim Mount of Hokanson Cos.

-Aspire Indiana bought a 26,600-square-foot building at 9615 E. 148th St. in the Noblesville Business Park. Aspire, a new organization created by the merger of BehaviorCorp and The Center for Mental Health in Anderson, will move into the building this fall. The price was not disclosed. The buyer was represented by John Demaree of Summit Realty Group. The seller, NBP One LLC, was represented by Philo Lange of NAI Olympia Partners.

-Germany-based REO-USA bought a 22,000-square-foot industrial building at 8450 E. 47th St. The price was not disclosed. The buyer was represented by David Kiernan of HR Realty Group LLC. The seller, Met Tech LLC, was represented by Fritz Kaufman of Cassidy Turley.

Housing

September 3, 2010

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the pace of mortgage loan activity increased 2.7 percent for the week ended Aug. 27, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. The rate for 30-year mortgages decreased to 4.43 percent from 4.55 percent the previous week. The rate for 15-year mortgages fell to 3.88 percent from 3.91 percent.

Indiana’s August revenue jumps 8.4 percent from year ago

The state Budget Agency reported Friday that Indiana collected $938 million in August. That’s $51 million above the most recent forecast, but still $2 million less than projected in the budget lawmakers passed in early 2009.

Police lose suspect after chase

September 3, 2010

A suspect got away from police after leading them on a chase early Friday morning near an Indianapolis middle school. The chase started at about 2:30 a.m. when city police tried to pull over a suspect at 62nd Street and Michigan Road on the northwest side. The driver took off, driving down a dead-end street next to Westlane Middle School. Police formed a perimeter and used K9 officers to track the man, but could not find him. The search was called off at about 4 a.m.

Ex-IU player Leary accused of home burglaries

September 3, 2010

A suspicious neighbor sparked an investigation that led to the arrest of ex-Indiana University basketball player Todd Leary. Leary, 39, who already faces up to three years in prison for his role in a mortgage fraud scheme, appeared in court in Noblesville on Thursday on charges that he stole appliances from foreclosed homes. Fishers police spent five months investigating the case, tying Leary and two other men to a string of burglaries in Hamilton County.

West Nile virus reported in Marion County

September 3, 2010

This year’s first human cases of West Nile virus in Indiana have been confirmed, with one in Indianapolis and one in Fort Wayne, according to the Indiana State Department of Health. Since 2002, Marion County has recorded a total of 22 human cases and five human deaths from the virus. In 2010, 31 counties in Indiana have had mosquitoes test positive for the virus. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.

Estridge drops Westfield sports complex, still plans stadium

The parent company of lithium-ion battery maker EnerDel Inc. has raised another $65 million to help finance operations and ramp up its manufacturing operations in the Indianapolis area.
