A 17-year-old girl will be charged as a juvenile and not as an adult in connection with a deadly car accident in Hamilton
County. Francheska Smith faces a reckless homicide charge following a crash last month that killed 16-year-old Aaron Skaggs.
Investigators said Smith was driving nearly 100 miles per hour when she lost control, hit a ditch and rolled over before coming
to a stop in a field near Sheridan. Smith later tested positive for marijuana.
One person died in an early-morning crash on the east side of Indianapolis. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene about
