CORRECTION The name of Sisters of St. Francis Health Services Inc. was incorrect in a page 1 story last week. Also, one of the two hospitals operated by Cardinal Health System is in Hartford City in Blackford County. The location of the hospital was unclear in the same story.

Although offender work programs have been around since the 1920s, most Hoosiers know little about the Indiana Department of Correction’s prison-based industries, which generate $40 million a year in revenue.
