Associates of a central Indiana legislator beaten over the weekend say a 1980s legal dispute might have triggered the attack.
Democratic Rep. Ed DeLaney of Indianapolis was taken to a hospital for treatment of facial fractures and a broken rib after
the attack Saturday in Carmel. Police officers arrested 38-year-old Augustus J. Mendenhall on attempted murder charges. Marion
County Democratic Chairman Ed Treacy says it appears Mendenhall was seeking revenge against DeLaney, an attorney who had worked
on litigation involving an adult bookstore owned by Mendenhallâ??s father.

Investigators look for suspect in warehouse fire

Arson investigators are trying to find the person who threw a burning phone book through the window of a warehouse on the
southwest side in Indianapolis late last night. Someone threw the burning book into the Regal-Beloit warehouse at 6450 W.
Hanna Ave. Officials are going over surveillance video to get a look at a suspect. Crews put the fire out without much damage,
and no one was hurt.

Nurse who died being tested for swine flu

An Evansville hospital is awaiting tests to confirm whether a nurse who died was ill with the H1N1 flu. Danna Fortune, 53,
died Friday, more than a week after being admitted to St. Maryâ??s Medical Center with flu-like symptoms. Fortune was a nurse
in the hospitalâ??s neonatal intensive care unit. A hospital representative says there are no indications Fortune had been
in contact with any patients hospitalized with the virus, also known as swine flu. Fox59 will have more at 4 p.m.
