CIB to discuss possible budget solutions-WEB ONLY

The Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board will meet at 2 p.m. today at the Indiana Convention Center to determine ways to address its $38 million budget deficit. Last Thursday, the board’s finance committee proposed a 13-percent decrease in area arts and cultural tourism grants. The board also is considering an increase to hospitality taxes.

The Franklin Township school board will meet tonight to decide the future of a bus driver facing drunken-driving charges. Philip Leslie is accused of driving two of his routes while intoxicated.
