Fire damages real estate office

October 27, 2010

A massive fire on the west side of Indianapolis early Wednesday morning caused heavy damage to a Carpenter Realty office building. The cause of the blaze, which broke out in the 600 block of High School Road about 2 a.m., is still being determined. One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was taken to Methodist Hospital. About 40 people work at the location.

-The Indiana Department of Revenue renewed its lease for 50,200 square feet of industrial space at 5252 Decatur Blvd. The landlord, ProLogis, was represented by Luke Wessel of Cassidy Turley. The tenant represented itself.

-Davis Wholesale Supply Co. renewed its lease for 25,600 square feet of industrial space at 5845 W. 82nd St. in Park 100. The tenant was represented by Patrick Lindley of Cassidy Turley. The landlord, ProLogis, was represented by Andrea Hopper of ProLogis.

-D’Amore, a division of Thomas Caterers of Distinction, subleased 15,231 square feet on the 48th floor of Chase Tower, 1 E. Ohio St. The tenant was represented by Debbie Shumate of Alliance Commercial Real Estate. The landlord, JP Morgan Chase, was represented by Nick Arterburn of CB Richard Ellis.

-Sigma-Tau Pharmasource Inc. leased 13,750 square feet at 6815 Guion Road. The tenant and landlord, TCA 6815, were represented by J.D. Graves of CB Richard Ellis.

-The Indiana Private Industry Council leased 12,335 square feet at Parkstone III, 9002 Purdue Road. The tenant was represented by Tim O’Brien and David Ponader of Colliers International. The landlord, Parkstone Office Center LLC, was represented by Nick Svarczkopf and Dan Richardson of CB Richard Ellis.
 
-Product Development Corp. subleased 12,000 square feet at 5201 Park Emerson Drive, Suite N. The subtenant and sublandord, Wheel Pros LLC, were represented by J.D. Graves of CB Richard Ellis.

-EMP Technology LLC leased 8,120 square feet at 15309 Stony Creek Way, Noblesville. The tenant was represented by Fritz Kauffman of Cassidy Turley. The landlord, Gulf Shores LLC, was represented by Chris Black of CB Richard Ellis.

-ZHU LAN sushi and prime rib buffet leased a freestanding 7,062-square-foot building at Merchants Point, 2293 E. 116th St., Carmel. The tenant was represented by Jun Liu of Carpenter Real Estate. A local investment firm hoping to capitalize on a resurgent near-north side is planning a 50-home, privately funded redevelopment project in the blocks surrounding Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park. Homevestors LLC, led by husband and wife Jerry and Carole Jaquess, has applied for city approval to build 50 single-family homes between 16th and 22nd streets just south of Fall Creek Place. “It’s the next logical area” for redevelopment, said Jerry Jaquess, a general contractor.
