This looks like a great project for that area. The area to the south always looked like an industrial brownfield. I’ve visited Belmont beach, and it wouldn’t take much for this to be really nice. Kudos to everyone that made this happen.
+1!
This city’s trail and bike lane system is really starting to be knit together and useful for serious commuting for those who don’t live in Mile Square. It’s amazing to see and I hope the city continues to take the mission seriously and identify opportunities for more road diets and trails that give folks healthier options than their car.
Looks like a nice project. Here is a story I found on YouTube.

Great looking project for a beautiful, most-deserving area.
TYPO; says ‘former’ wife Sanchez?!? They’re still married
No, they’re not. They got divorced.
MacKenzie Scott is his former wife. Lauren Sanchez is his current spouse.
Congrats on the Bezo’s grant money! The renderings also look great, although vague and idealistic. The lower area is still a major floodway and floodplain. Good luck maintaining that, and beaches on rivers are extremely difficult to keep and maintain. But it’s good to see efforts being made for this park and area.
Do you even know what a “wetland” is?
Just think what you could do across the country if Bezos and his companies paid appropriate levels of taxes. Amazon’s effective tax rate was 1.4%, and they avoided paying over $17 billion in taxes.
And that’s leaving aside how little they pay their workers and how they shift the cost of supporting them onto taxpayers …
