  1. Yawn. Glad they’re going to use NACS, but this won’t matter to most people until 2025 or later. Most people charge at home nearly all of the time, and all of these ports are going to be inter-compatible for charging at home.

    And this is going to take even longer to have any meaningful impact for Honda, since Honda has never sold a single modern electric car in the US market, and is still over a year away from selling anything that’s not a re-badged GM electric car – and both the Prologue and ZDX are going to feature the CCS port, not the NACS port.

    Plus, any kind of widespread rollout of ANY charging stations that support NACS will also take at least until mid-2025, since that technology standard is not available to anyone (including Tesla) – since NACS is compatible with Tesla but they’re not the same thing.
