Well, I certainly hope they figure out the parking and congested road situation in and around the Event Center. Right now, it’s a nightmare and only looks to get worse. It’s kinda funny how they mention walkability when the only things within walking distance of this area are apartments AND there is only one little paved path that goes behind the apartments……. Good luck getting to one of these restuarants when there’s an event…..
I want to enjoy more development in Fishers, but Kimberly cites a growing issue. Trying to park at the District on a Thursday thru Saturday evening is a huge challenge even when the Events Center is dark…and getting to the Events Center (even just from the District to the Center) is work. Maybe they have some walking paths on the drawing board but today wear your boots and get ready to walk thru the grass & mud. I guess growing pains are better than no growth, but maybe cite some infrastructure upgrades instead of more retail offerings.
The only thing within walking distance are apartments?
There are literally dozens of restaurants, an office building and 3 hotels connected via walking path/sidewalks either already in existence at the original Fishers District or currently under construction at the Union phase.
I swear a lot of ya’ll just come on here to complain and trash developments.
Oh my…let’s give them a chance. I’m sure they have plans to make it easy for people to get to them.
Also, if it’s good people will find a way to get there lol 🙂
