Hospital battling bedbugs
Bloomington Hospital hopes to be bedbug-free by the end of Monday after heath officials discovered the tiny blood suckers in two rooms over the weekend. Hospital workers are using heaters to kill the insects and their eggs. They’re also making sure patients leaving the hospital don’t take the bugs home—visually inspecting patients, giving them a shower and clean gown before leaving, and heating their belongings to a temperature that would destroy any lingering bedbugs. For now, the hospital is not restricting visitors.
