Ball State gives new life to Fountain Square charter

Fountain Square Academy, a charter middle and high school with about 270 students, will remain open after Ball State University decided to grant it a charter to continue operating after this school year.

-FEMA leased 34,252 square feet of office space at 6666 E. 75th St. The tenant was represented by Gavin Muldowney of UGL Services. The landlord, Zimmer Real Estate Services, was represented by Bryan Miller of Cassidy Turley.

-Tuesday Morning leased 14,178 square feet at Speedway Super Center, 6020 Crawfordsville Road, Speedway. The tenant was represented by Wayne O’Hara of Sitehawk Retail Real Estate. The landlord, Brixmore SPE 5 LLC, represented itself.

-The Department of Workforce Development leased 14,000 square feet of office space at 3400 Lafayette Road. The tenant was represented by R.J. Rudolph and Kara Riggle of Colliers International. The landlord, Earl Wade Boulware Revocable Living Trust, was represented by Bill Ehret and Alex Cantu of Summit Realty Group.

A multimillion-dollar home in Carmel caught fire after lightning struck Wednesday night. Eight fire trucks were called to the home in the Laurelwood neighborhood near 106th Street and Ditch Road at about 7:30 p.m. The homeowners were able to escape but the home sustained significant damage.
